Daily Cals

When cutting, my recommended cals is 1896. So, does that mean to eat less than that AND do the morning cardio. Or eat that amount, but do the cardio. Because I think that means my body uses that amount MINIMUM to fuel it through my day, am I right? I get like 1500-1900 a day, it varies, and I do cardio. People tell me not to eat so little calories, but I feel not one bit weaker or out of energy throughout my day.

(NO IM NOT CUTTING ALREADY, I just want to have this all down once I start my cycles so I don't have to keep asking later on. Just planning ahead.)

What are your current plans? Are you in the process of gathering information for future pursposes? Where do you currently stand in terms of your training and diet? What are your short term goals? I think a lot of people are confused because they are unsure what you are trying to achieve. Answer these questions so we can help you.

Current plans, gain in size and strength. Bulking of course. Yes, I'm gathering information for the future. Short term goals... just get big, but don't get too much bodyfat. My routine right now is each muscle group once a week, diet I'm only getting like 1900 a day, and should probably start upping that, but I don't know what I can really cram down my throat...

You will not grow on 1900 calories per day. At your height and weight, you need to consume at least 3500 calories per day. Your metabolism is eating up everything you have, plus you are burning calories from working out. Overall, you caloric intake is probably negative. Start eating 5 to 6 small meals per day. If you are in school, start taking protein bars and eating them between classes. What are you eating on a daily basis?

ive got you between 2500-2800 maintenence cals (depending on your activity level).

subtract 500-750 to cut (1-1.5 lbs a week)

add 350 to grow (1lb a week LBM)

Daily, I eat...

Breakfast
Total Raisin Bran
Milk (1-2%)
OJ

Lunch
Tuna Sandwich on white bread with lettuce
Water

OR (on weekends)

Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki from Subway (740 Cals for a footlong, 10 grams of fat, 52g's of protein)
Water

Dinner
Tuna Sandwich from Subway (940 cals, 44 g's of fat for a footlong, like 40 something grams of protein, with lettuce)

OR

The Chicken Teriyaki again...

The chicken sandwich has lettuce, cucumber, tomato, olives, pickles, peppers, and onions. It's yummy too!

And I'm ordering a protein powder, Designer Protein, 17.5g's per shake. I was gonna just have one a day for that extra boost in protein...

Please eat more dude.. At your height and bodyweight you aren't gonna go anywhere with only 1900 calories/day.. Please listen to everyone here who keeps telling you to eat more.. Bignate even gave you some pretty precise numbers to follow..Now all you have to do is do it and grow... You keep posting questions and get numerous excellent answers to all your questions from those who know what it takes to grow, but you insist on keeping your protein and calories low for some reason. If your worried about getting fat, well don't.. You can deal with any fat gain after you put on some size.. So I think I speak for everone here "EAT"

I know, I'm only doing that now just while I try to figure out what I should add into my days diet. I can't always make chicken breasts, eggs, and get all that good stuff you guys tell me for bulking.

Here is what I recommend. . . purchase a George Foreman grill. You can prepare hamburgers and chicken breasts quickly on this thing. You can do this right after you get out of school. When you are in school, take a couple of protein bars and eat them between class breaks. Typically, protein bars yield about 320 calories. Get up a few minutes earlier in the mornings, so you can prepare a good breakfast. Are you taking your lunch to school? If so, pack a couple of turkey sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. You can also bring bananas, yogurt and fruit juice to pack in your lunch. Good luck!!
