Ok, this is just an idea. I'm not a scientist/research/expert and don't think I am anywhere close to any of those titles.
We still have a huge debate on the premise of certain diets. Basically we fall into two camps. Low fat or low carb with the definitions of the two varying widely.
What if we could come up with two groups on the EF board that would follow one plan or the other. Maybe 10 guys in each group.
Both groups would follow the exact same lifting plan, cycle, supplements, and strive for roughly the same amount of sleep. Whatever we can control I guess.
The would both have the same blood work done before and after.
Group 1 would follow a bulker using whatever we all can decide is common practice. That is a generally accepted macro split based on calories. Falling somewhere near the high carb school.
Group 2 would follow a high fat/low carb diet. Under 50gs per day, protein at 1.5-2g per lb and fat making up the rest based on calories.
We could track energy levels, growth, strength, weight can, fat %, blood profiles, etc.
Clearly this wouldn't be overseen by EF. This would be run by someone much more competent than me and the variables and details would have to be worked out much deeper than my thoughts above.
I am curious to see what kind of results could be generated from both.
