how bad is cheese in a clean diet? it has no carbs, no sugar (at least most cheese) and it's high in protein so besides bad fat and cholestrole how bad is it when trying to maitain under 10% bf?

It isn't that bad, and the negative effects of saturated fat are VERY over-rated. Cut all of the saturated fat and choelsterol out of your diet and see how long you live. Drop them very low, and you will not produce testosterone or build any muscle mass.

so are saying that bad fat (dairy fat) is needed to produce test? I know good fat's like omega 3 plays a role in test production. all I know is when I get a bad carb craving at night I eat cheese and there goes my craving would you consider that cheating?

i love chevre (goat cheeze) its soft like cream cheeze. mmmmmm.. try it guys.

Saturated fat is required to produce testosterone; cholesterol is the building block for many, if not all hormones. It's only when you have too much of something that you begin to run into problems - and that goes for everything, not just fat.

Correct, "Bad" fat is required for hormone production, and it lowers shbg levels (good for those who wish to have more free testosterone). Ohashi is correct, LDL choesterol is the building block of testosterone. HDL is used to transport it to the liver where it can be converted into hormone precusors.

BTW, "bad" fats only manifest their bad effects in a high insulin environment, or when an EFA deficiency is present.

Sorry, by "bad" I was refering to saturated. Hydrogenated oils are truely bad, and it is very difficult to counter their negative effects, since they interfear with the absorbsion of many EFA's.
