carbs in last meal

I once read in a magazine that when you eat only protein in your last meal, your body produces more Human Growth Hormone at ight than if you were to eat a protein/carb meal. It suggested that carbs at night interfere with natural nightly GH release. From expereince I tend to sleep better and look leaner/harder in the morning after I eat a protein only meal at night.

If anyone has any insight into this I would appreciate you sharing it.
 
Well, you don't need too many carbs at night, and eating bucketloads of pasta or rice will most likely be stored as fat. I would still be inclined to eat some carbs and fat so you protien goes towards rebuilding muscle cells rather than being used for energy.
