Yep, pretty much. After a while, you'll be able to eyeball amounts....ex: 3 oz. chic breast, 1 cup green beans....that kind of thing. Also, whenever possible, use the numbers from the package you buy instead of the numbers in fitday.

Hi there 2 u all, ive been visiting this forum and thought that i would say hello & introduce myself. I'm 37 years old, 5ft 5", weigh 118pds my bodyfat is 17% i know that cos ive just been to the gym and got it done ! ive just started bck at a gym 2wks ago after throwing in the towel 18mths ago at my old gym through having no support or guidance in my quest to do a figure show needless to say that gym closed down. After booking my hols for April i found another gym just to "tone up" as they say and hey presto ive been bitten by the gym bug again with the added bonus of avin Sharon ( the gym owner ) as enthusiastic as myself for me to compete.Anyway a few queries that i have for all you knowledgeable ladies out there #1 am i to old to get anywhere in this sport ? #2 i have a small amount of cellulite around my butt which's bugging the life out of me can anyone help? other than that the rest of me is comming on nicely. Oh ! i'm avin 5 meals daily 40/40/20 i take flax oil and creatine, also glutamine but when is the best time to take that ? Am i on the right track ? so much information out there and a lot of conflicting advice. Please help me & my butt !
The other thing, I've read it before and I've seen the veterans say it before, for a lot of ladies the problem areas (butt/thighs/abs) don't "come in" until you start getting your bodyfat pretty low.

Best of luck with your goals, sounds like you're on the right track ...

The one thing I noticed, and this is just an idea, generally speaking 6 or 8 reps is going more for power. If you have areas you would like to "pop" a little more you might want to try lowering your weights and increasing your reps to around 12 or so (particularly true of smaller muscles, like triceps, biceps, deltoids).

Are you doing any cardio???

ive been a little wary of cardio to be honest i am very lean already i've managed to maintain the gains i made 18mths ago i didnt want to compromise any more weight loss...if that makes any sense ! Iwas worried to start cardio, loose muscle and still have butt that plagues me  LOL

I don't think burning muscle up is a worry as long as your tank isn't empty when you do cardio, you know??? You'll have to bring your body fat down to bring your glute/hamstring in. If you start to lose muscle then you have to up your calories to compensate for the increased cardio, tweak the macros ... Everything's about trying this, wait for results, trying that, wait for results, tweak this and see ... I'm going through something similar myself right now but MY problem is committment level ...

Some of us know what to do and can't stay focused/committed ... some of us have the committment and focus and don't know where to start ... and the great ones have their sh*t totally together :FRlol:
