Brickgirl got Whooped like a little dog :)

Perhaps they could start a grappling round for figure. They score you on how many of the opponents rhinestones you could pluck off in 60 seconds while subduing your opponent in a choke hold. Instead of trophies, you could have those boards like bug collectors maintain, but with eyelashes from your opponents pinned on them instead of bugs. Maybe even a few finger nails. The fake ones pop off pretty well when you apply a crushing blow to the tip with a broken off shoe heel ;)

"But many people have told me the same thing, including most all the judges."

Think cash and free supplements here BG. Take advantage of it while you have the physique and drive to train.

Brickgirl, those judges must need glasses. You look awesome. :D

...... and how the heck do girls put rhinestones on their eyelashes? Won't the flop over?

Thanks everyone! wilson6, you crack me up :) I'm just not the figure type of girl, I don't get all dressed up like that, heck, sweatpants is what I wore on our last anniversary dinner. I don't think I even have a pair of heals that isn't made for stage :) But yes, they honestly had them on there upper and lower eye lashes, I don't see how they could even open there eyes, they must have put just as much practice into that as they did there fitness routines :) But like I said, I would never bash one of those girls, they all worked there asses off and many of them have been doing it for 5-6 years now and heck, this was my first year ever competing :) I can promise you, figure is not for me, money is not an issue for me thanks to my husband and the free supplements I would want, well, they don't come from weider ;) :)

Damn - you got some sweet-ass hammies! :rate: I'll bet none of the other girls had anything close to that or your glute/ham tie-in, or your nice V taper, or... Have you considered competing in a different federation/org - one that rewards a more developed physique for fitness or figure? It's great you do it for fun, but you should be on stage.

You look wonderful, sweetie! Great definition and balance. I can totally understand your reasons for not wanting to continue in fitness, though - you only get one body, gotta take care of it.

And the heel thing is a little silly. I get annoyed I have to practice my mandatories in heels. Nothing like a double back bicep with one calf spiked to make you wonder if you'll break an ankle.

BG -those pics don't do you justice. What a great set of legs you've got girl! Well done and now time to shot for another challenge-well after taking some well deserved r and r first.-Valerie

Looks like I missed the pics :(

But the pics I've seen in the past are amazing! I wish I had an ounce of your determination.
Congrats on achieving your dream and good luck w/ PL.

I took first place last year at a bench meet, it was right at the peak of bulking up before my first fitness contest, it was a blast, I loved it and heals would not have been appropriate there :) give that one site an hour and the pics will be back up real soon :)

Brickgirl-

You look great. You still did alot better than all the people who have never competed. For someone to get down a good routine in a one year period of time takes alot of work and dedication. Thanks for sharing your results.

Just out of curiousity, what was your first place lift in that powerlifting contest?

I can't see the pics either, but I'm sure you look fantastic - I do remember you having incredible legs :) Wouldn't mind seeing them on a leg press in heels, either ... (oops, forget I said that, he heh).

I love your attitude - my thoughts exactly - it's what it takes to get there that is the real thrill - placings aren't a big issue. I mean, it's nice to be higher up than lower down on the scale, but, whatever ... really honestly being able to say to yourself 'I put every part of me into this' is the big thrill, IMO. I always feel like a goddess on stage, though - it's a huge high for me.

Wish I could have cheered you on a bit more - unfortunately I was rather wrapped up in my own injuries, diet, etc. Sorry :( Your progress thread was amazing though - thanks for that.

Great work, girl - looking forward to seeing a few more of these longer posts from you :)

(Funny how the muscle mags don't have any probs with women benching in heels .... ;) Or, well, draped on the bench stroking the bb, LMFAO)
