Bi's and Tri's on the SAME DAY??

I've seen conflicting opinions on this. I've been religiously lifting now for 4 years and i've really never changed from Chest/ Bis and then Back / Tris. However, I've alway's felt my arms to be smaller than they could be. What's your take on this???

Mule..

I've been working out bi's & tri's on the same day for about a month now and I love it. My arms have been getting a great pump. I usually will do 3 sets bi's, 3 sets tri's, back and forth, etc. Just try it out and see how it feels to you. I think I can get a better tricep workout w/o doing chest first.

I take it you are doing a 4 day split right now so if you don't mind going the extra day then I say go for it. Try it out for a month or two and see if you like it. I would suggest doing it either on a thursday and legs friday or do it on a friday and work legs monday. That way you have plenty of time to recuperate and it won't affect any other lifts.

I work bis and tris together all the time. twice a week due to my arms being a slowgaining portion of my body. It is the only thing that works for me but you need to remember to do arms like you do other bodyparts. Make sure you go till failure.

I've recently started training as recommended in BFL, i.e. whole upper body then legs and abs next workout and so on. Must say I've also noticed a difference not only in my arms but also in my shoulders etc. I didn't think it would be a good plan as you wouldn't be able to lift as much as doing say back/bi chest/tri and abs/legs on separate days, but it seems to be working, give it a whirl!

I get the best results by splitting antagonist muscles in a work-out. I do bi's and tri's, Quads and Hams, Chest and horizontal pull and shoullders and vertical pull. I get the huge pumps from this and alternating seems to add strength to both lifts.

Yeah definitely I supersetted bis and tris together for a long time. I would do standing ez-bar curls and immediately after a set of lying ez-bar ext. using the same weight. Supersetting your bis and tris will really hammer them into new growth in my opinion really pumping your arms up to the extreme.

Something that I didnt mention was be sure to alternating starting with bis first followed by tris then tris followed by bis. Dont continually start off with a biceps exercise when your fresh and leave tris coming along second. Thats just my opinion.
