Bi peaks

Sounds naughty doesn't it.. anyway, I have good size on my bi's the problem is, I seem to have a long bi muscle. Some of my friends have smaller arms but better bi peaks. what can I do to add the small ball peak on my bi? Is this heredity or exercise/form?

Comments

Thanks

it does have alot do do with genetics....but you can help a little. I like to use cheating barbell curls. That helps me with alot of my mass.

I have the same problem, my friend. I'm 6'2" (which isn't THAT tall, but taller than average) and have really long limbs.... and even though I have much more muscle on my arms than many others, it still looks thin.... especially if I hold it out straight. The only time it looks decent is if I squash it against my lats, or I'm actually flexing....

.... I don't think there's much we can do about it except build the whole muscle. Just be patient. Dunno what else to tell you.

Are you doing concentration curls? How about dumbell curls while sitting on the incline bench? Supinate on the way up and squeeze! Focus!

I dont think there's much you can really do about it,as the late mike mentzer said, get a 20inch arm first then worry about the peak.Looking back at old pictures of myself when say i had a 15 inch arm and pictures now where its 17,the actual shape is more or less the same its just a bigger version of the old arm,a bit thicker mabe.So i wouldnt worry about working the peak just use the best mass builder that feels right.

I know what you mean. My bi's are long too. My step-son has baseballs for bi's. He rags me all the time with those. Of course, after I put the tape measure to his (12.5") and mine (17.5") he shut up. I wouldn't want those little sticks hanging from my shouders even if they do have a peak.

I've tried the 'peak' excercises, no results. So I do heavy bars and DB's. I'm gonna push them until they get so big that the whole damn Bi looks like a peak at all times.

Long Muscles Are Stronger

As a bigger man (6'6", 330), I can tell you that, even though you've allowed yourself to become convinced that those pointy muscles LOOK better, long-muscled men are stronger.

I started out doing olympic lifting and then, after college, got into power lifting. All those "cut-up" guys that hung around weight rooms and showed up to tourneys just to look good were usually MUCH weaker that the guys who had played football or something.

In other words, don't worry about "peaks." I bet you can heave a shit-load of weight as it is. Those little 5'8"" oily-faced guys shooting 'roids and talking about "peaks" are beneath you, big guy! GET STRONG!

Its really majorly genetic bro.. there are some things that you can do maybe to help. One thing that helped me was flexing my biceps throughout the day just to really harden up the muscle a lot. Always has worked well for me no matter what anyone says.

Also concentration curls and high-pully cable curls seem to work well too.

Try really hammering your brachialis muscle as well with reverse bb curls and hammer curls to really develop your biceps.
