Beyond Frustrated and need advise from Women who have been there

Ok, sounds good.
Most importantly keep posting on here. That is what keeps most peeps pumped up even when things dont look quite the way you think they should.
Honey you are no way a fat lazy person.

Exactly as we age our bodies change my body responded much faster in my twenties than it is in my 30's. I know it will continue to do that I saw that happen to my mother she has to be vigilant with her diet to stay trim into her 60's.

It's going to happen for you don't give up you have the work ethic with the gym clearly. Just keep pressing on with the diet. Monitor your temperature and don't be afraid to go to your Dr. with what you have found there very well could be an underlying issue he's missing.

You definitely have a great work ethic so don't give up. I'll be the voice of science and reason and say that I don't think you have gained much fat in 3 weeks. I know it may seem that way but it's most likely some extra water weight from the additional calories. You aren't eating enough to have gained much in the fat department (and I don't mean that in a negative way). 1 lb is 3500 calories....

I think your body is probably in shock because 900-1000, with the exercise and hectic schedule is seriously under eating. Stay the course! It will happen. :)

I'm so sorry to hear about the miscarriages. I can't even imagine. My heart goes out to you.

Hi all .... posting new #s and information and am promising myself not to jump off the building.
my last weigh in was on the 6th at 192#, weigh in on the 14th .... 194# !!!! Ugh ugh!

There is definitely no added muscle weight, as I missed 3 workouts due to a business trip. Used the hotel "gym" for a pretty good cardio session, but they only had dumbells and only up to 25# so did some bi/tri work at really high reps to compensate.

I also feel like I have zero energy. My usual power is missing, as is my stamina. That might be in my head though.

Also went to the endocronologist and got blood test results back:
Thyroid panel TSH: 0.32 (normal is 0.3 - 3.5)
Free T3 118 pg/dl (normal is 120-240 pg/dl)
Thyroid antibody TPOAb present --- indication of Hashimoto disease or cellular resistence to T3 and T4 - no presentation of goiter or enlargement on ultrasound, so possibly cellular resistance, meaning T3 is not activating in cells appropriately

Here is the kicker -- according to doc (who I am about to fire), I need to: EAT LESS AND EXCERCIZE MORE and then I will feel fine. Because, although my numbers are on the absolute lowest side of "normal" if I don't have a goiter, then you can't have low thyroid!!!!!!

He was un-interested in my food log or my excercize log, just its obvious that I am eating too much and not getting enough physical activity.

So now what?

Obviously doctor shopping is on the list .... although I am limited by insurance company as to what I can and cannot do in terms of doctor shopping and having them cover it ....

ladies, (and men) if it were you what would you do?

Well dammit!
IDK what happend but I did respond to this yesterday.
Here it is again tho...
Def get another DR suga. The guy have is pretty much sounding worthless and sounds like he could care less and even further is not open to listening to his patient. He sucks!
You def need some kind of therapy for the thyroid thing you have going on but IDK what specifically. Im sure that Cali and Super will post up soon.
Cant have low thyroid less a goiter. Efing Dumb!!
Keep your chin up suga and good luck.

Yes, he sucks. But with an HMO you get referred to whoever they choose. I put in a complaint for whatever that's worth and have an appointment with a different specialist on November 15. So I wait a month to start over again.
In the meantime ????
Maybe I should go high glycemic or complete fasting to really screw up the next blood work!

Hi,

I have sort of similar issue. Weight gain no matter what. Well, I know I have been undereating and so that Im trying fix everything now, it's sux. However, I realized that starving and exercising more doesn't go anywhere. I saw your blood test result. What I see is that your free T3 is in lower range, it should be close to upper. What are yours free T4? I have changed so many doctors in a last few years so I could write a book. Most of them are ignorant who can't put things together. You should find new doc.

In the meantime I would PM Need2 and ask him for advice.
Nate is a gr8 guy and will do his best to help you out. Also he is by far the most knowledgeable person that I know is this stuff.
You can pm him at this name.

Zed, I actually PMed needto yesterday. He thought the princess stack would be a good idea. I think it's needtoslin and 2 other things. I need to do a little more research.

I can't remember and didn't write down the T4 actual results. It was low as well just don't know the specific

My concern with adding the stack is it might mask my blood work delaying getting the thyroid thing figured out. Am I silly thinking that?

No way suga. I think its a legit concern for you and I would discuss with Nate in depth. At any rate I would hold off on the stack till you get to your new Dr and see what he has to say. Just wanna say that I think you may be better off continuing with the endo, if your insurance will allow for that.
At least for the guyz that usually seems to get them further ahead in this.
