Best Leg Routine

CheapPinz

Does anyone have a great leg routine? This is what I'm used to (&I'd like to change it up)....

seated leg press with nautilus resistance
leg press using disk weights (position: almost reclined on the floor with legs pressing towards the ceiling...)
extension nautilus machine
hamstring curls nautilus machine
stiff legged dead lifts while standng on a block to get deep.
standing calf raises
seated calf raises

any suggestions to make it better?

I don't like the saying "best" of anything...... there is no best leg routine- different rep ranges and exercises work differently for different people.

Having said that, I find the following to be the best leg exercises (for me)- somewhat in order STRICTLY for legs.

- Back Squat
- 1 legged Romanian Deadlift with DB.
- Front Squat
- Romanian Deadlift with Barbell
- Bulgarian Split Squats
- Conventional Deadlift
- Leg Curls
- Leg Press

then all types of calf raises high rep calves which i didn't include

I would dump the leg extensions fast! Really not good for knees even for those of you blessed with good ones!
Back Squats,
Front Squats,
And one of my favs, Zercher Squats,
Leg press
Dead Lifts
Have fun rinse and repeat...

I'd rather hammer one exercise each workout so legs get hit all week long rather than killing them in one session:

Mon Backsquat
Tues Running
Wed Overhead Squat
Thu Cycling
Fri Front Squat.....

Heavy squats and heavy deadlifts.

No machine work. If you are going heavy enough, with enough volume, you wont need it.
