Best Boxer Ever

pound for pound in his hay day: ROY JONES

True. He like most boxers doesnt know when to quit. Cant get that famous shot of him being knocked the fuck out by Tarver in his OWN corner.

But he did compete in several weight classes and dominated them all.

In my opinion the best PFP fighter ever was Roy Jones Jr.
When he fought at middleweight he was unstoppable.

All the older guys i talk to, ones that have been in the boxing business for yeas say it is undoubtebly Sugar Ray Robinson.

Thank you! Anyone that says Tyson is oblivious to the fact that Tyson couldnt even get in reach of Ali without being knocked out. Ali was faster and had a longer reach. Tyson cant knock you out unless he's in your face, Ali wouldn't let him get there.

Plus he couldnt beat the best of his era.

Muhammad Ali's comeback was amazing after refusing induction to go to Vietnam. Thrilla in Manilla and the Rumble in the Jungle are the two best fights ever. He shocked the world when he beat Liston to become the youngest Heavyweight Champion ever.

I'm getting sick of these dumbass arguments. Fact is, noone will ever know.

I'm not sure why people think Ali was so great. I think it's more myth and urban legend.

check out films of his early and middle fights. the power of a heavyweight and the speed and agility of a middleweight. the man was amazing.

From accomplishments I read I say Sugar Ray Robinson. He made a career of defeating hall of fame opponents even well past his competive prime. I'll never forget the vicious KO he landed on Gene Fullmer in the only match of his I have seen.

I can also make argument for Muhammad Ali. Though high in the ranks of ring accomplishment and ability, Ali transcended and still transcends the sport of boxing. Most other boxer's greatness is defined by the sport; Ali became greater than the sport.
