Best Boxer Ever

Jones Jr in his prime

I also think Hopkins and Ray Leonard is/was special

Ali will always be "The Greatest"....

However, I would say PRE-Buster Tyson.....that guy was scary....

Once Tyson hit the canvas with that mouthpiece dangling, he became just another HW...

Sure Rocky Marciano was great. He did finish 49-0. But who did he beat? LaStarza and Joe Louis?. The Heavyweight Division was so weak then. Ali beat Frazier twice, Norton twice. He handed Foreman his ass so Foreman didnt want to fight again. He beat Sonny Liston twice at the age of 22. Plus he came back after three years of not fighting because he was stripped of the right to fight. He was the youngest Heavyweight Champion at the time. He was the first to ever regain it 3 times. And he did this without his prime years. He was unable to fight from age 26 to 29. He won the Olypic Gold in 1960. He's never been beaten by a KO. He won the title a second time, SEVEN years after winning it the first time.

Good argument. Sugar Ray had 91 straight wins at one point and had 104 KO's in his career. Ali said he was the best fighter he ever saw and was his idol

Yes he did say that. In fact he wanted to fight like him which could be why Ali was so damn fast and accurate. One time before Ali won the Olympic Gold he wanted to meet Sugar Ray at his training facility. So he went there. Sugar Ray got out of his car and he told Sugar Ray he was going to win the Olympic Gold. Sugar Ray was like: ' I dont have time for this' and walked away. Ali was upset. But Sugar Ray later became good friends with him and supported Ali.
