He needs to lose weight too....

The "Why are you even here?" in my sig is what I said to him at the gym the other day when he didn't want to do something....

Well, good luck with him....

My hubby will go to the gym with me, but doesn't always want to do the routine I've picked & doesn't seem to have any goals in the gym....

I do have to say though........he cleaned pretty much the whole house yesterday, so that was great!!

Mu boyfriend SAYS he wants to lose 30 pounds (He's 250-ish right now - and a big guy anyway - when he shakes hands with people they kind of shrink back from his size.) - it's all in the gut. He's 47 now and in his 20-30's lifted constantly and cycled for several years. SO - we all know what happens to the male bod when the steroids stop, the workout stops, but the food doesn't.

His diet is deplorable - I keep telling him that he needs to eat some vegis and some protein. All he eats is cereal, cheese, crackers & rootbeer floats. He keeps telling me that everything will be OK once he starts lifting again. (Sigh)

When, I wonder, will that be?

It's true! We were talking about it last night, and I was telling him some women get morning sickness so bad it lasts all day - and the only thing they can hold down is taco bell, burgers, etc - He was SO excited. He was like, if that is the case, we are going to end up with like 9 children because I'll want you to STAY pregnant!

Not that *I* want it to be like that - I hope to be able to continue eating healthy, but *HE* hopes I become a Taco Bell lovin' PG lady!

I gained 45 pounds when I was pregnant. I looked like a beached whale. I breast fed for a year afterwards - and the weight came right off, plus some with good diet. Breasts are like a wrecked car, though. :worried:

OSHA work regulations are very clear about the matter....IF you employer is not allowing breaks thruout the day, they re in violation of the law

Not all jobs are conducive to this particular style of eating, even in the US. Teaching is one of them. Yes, you get lunch and a planning period or block, but they're not always at the best times. I was a long-term sub in a high school from Sept-Dec. I ate breakfast around 6:30am, and usually at least 32 oz of water. Once school started at 7:20, I did not have an opportunity to eat or go to the bathroom until my lunch at 12:25...so drinking more water or a shake in between was usually out of the question because the administration wouldn't like if I always ran out of the room in the middle of classes...kidney problems are actually fairly common among teachers for that very reason. (Plus this is a brand new school building with very strict rules about food/drinks in the classrooms, and teachers were expected to set the example.) I had planning immediately after lunch, so that didn't do me much good.

That being said, you make do with what you have...even if that means eating a bigger breakfast so that you can last that long, having a handfull of almonds quickly between class periods (if you don't have a million students wanting to hand in makeup work, etc to take care of), and making sure to drink enough water throughout the second half of the day. There are ways to work this lifestyle into just about anything--all it takes is some creativity and flexibility.

Makes me so glad my hubby is very supportive and involved in fitness too.

We usually either diet together or fall off the wagon together.

If I am getting back on the wagon and he isn't yet, he has NEVER given me a hard time. He won't buy food that stays in the house when I am home. He would go out and buy cheat food while I am at work and eat it before I get home so I never see it. And he NEVER tries to get me to eat something I don't want to.

If we are both on the wagon and dieting, if I start craving something mid-week, he can usually talk me into NOT getting it - without making me feel bad. When he is really on, he is a ROCK when it comes to dieting.

That said, he can't wait until I get pregnant - he is HOPING I get Taco Bell cravings all the time. :)

You are soooooo lucky... I will not get married if I don't find a man like that... seriously...

Well, if they are like that before you're married, that doesn't mean they will always be like that....

I would die.
I think I'm in the bathroom every 40 min max.
