any1 go to NYSC?

i believe its 70 a month. When i joined i knew someone and got a deal were i only pay 50 a month. Other gyms are cheaper for sure but not as nice nor are there as many in the city. Personally, I go to NYSC because its around the corner from my apartment.

i go to nysc in forrest hills its ok id look into a cheaper gym nysc tend to be smaller but the women there r incredibly gorgous

i went there for 2 years and i didn't like it much. I realize that know, bc my gym is filled with grandma's and people stratching their legs during arm day.

I lifted at the NYSC in Paramus, NJ. They have some requirements for you to join there thugh: you must drive a car worth more than 60g's, you must be in terrible shape, you must hang out on all the equipment others want to use and do nothing, you must listen to the head up their ass personal trainers who reccomend twists with a fucking broom handle instead of squats. dear god, did I HATE NYSC. The members there were cocksmokes, the staff were a bunch of shitheads, they had crappy hours, and high monthly payments. On the upside, they did have alot of free weights that no one would use, so that was really nice

It's an overpriced fitness center. I was at a Powerhouse that was rolled over into NYSC.
I left for a Gold's. Much happier!

i go to nysc. i think you have to find one that's comfortable for oyu...they're all different. 14th st has tons of free weights and is huge, but it's full of gay guys (could be a problem for you, could be an advantage). the one i go to in brooklyn is small, but i'm one of the only guys who uses much of the free weight stuff, so it's fine.

as for cost, find one that's getting ready to open and join with their special pre-opening rate....then just go to whichever gym you want. and as for cost, try going to equinox for a little while, then nysc will seem like it's free!

Went to NYSC when I lived in Queens, both Forest Hills and one in Manhattan near work...didn't like either one. On the other hand, a guy from work goes to one on the Upper East Side and is happy with it - you have to look at the specific location that would be convenient for you and see what they have.

Depends on what you're looking for, but from what I've seen most of them don't have anything resembling a halfway-serious BB environment. (And if you're a powerlifter, forget it.) They do have great locations, though - they're frickin everywhere in Manhattan, but thin out as soon as you get to the outer boroughs. Where are you located? If you're looking at one in Queens or the suburbs, you can probably do better or at least the same for less cost.
