Sorry but it's the fashion right now.
There is/was a good article on HIIT in Men's Health & Fitness (or whatever that "popular" one is), about HIIT interval training with several looks at various routines. I'm sure if you went to the website and did a search you'd find it. It's about interval training really and I've seen it in print and on their site.
I've mixed some of what they talk about into cardio before and it does seem to work/help with loosing bad poundage.
To my knowledge there was no link to EAS (expensive-assed-shit).
