my school, as far as i know, has no powerlifting team/club. i am thinking about possibly going through the motions to see if it would be possible to start one up.

i, personally, know nothing about powerlifting and only have not gotten into it because i can only lift at the school gym for regular students. i'm sure if the school had a team/club that they would be able to use the athletes gym (this would have to be checked in to) as the facilities there would most likely be better for a powerlifting training environment.

if a team/club was started up, it would nice to have someone who knows what they are doing advising and such. anyone know of a way to get someone like this who might do it just for the enjoyment of it (i really don't know if there would be any way to get paid for it, and i would say most likely not)?

Try out the L.A. lifting club, they have several good lifters and a good gym to train at. Not sure where in L.A. though.

Doesn't Mendy (Scott Mendelson) train at the LA Lifting club under Joe Aviglano???

I would look into that LA Lifting Club

It's in burbank california. I went there a few weeks ago, the gym looks like a ghost town. They charge $400 for one year plus $200 for like 10 lessons. Joe's wife owns it, she seems very rude and does'nt seem to wanna negotiate. Though the gym looks bad ass. I may go there if I cant find any other powerlift catering gyms here in L.A.. If anyone know's of anyother please let me know. Thanks
