S spatts High End Bro Platinum Jun 27, 2003 #8 If I'm trying to isolate my shoulders more I don't dip. If I want to work in a higher weight range, I add a "dip." I also like to use a dip with the light weight sometimes too, so my legs are getting some AR while my shoulders are working.

Power jerks are like 99% legs the difference between a push press and a power jerk is the dropping to catch the weight. you can use heavier weight(jerk) because you dont have to push the bar as high, instead you drop your body to catch it in a lower position
