Am I overdoing it...

I've been training for a little over a year now and I've seen great results. However I train most of my major muscle groups two days a week, I usually give them about three days rest. I get on here and I read about guys doing muscle groups only one day. Should I narrow it down to one day or is it a personal preference thing? I've read it's ok as long as you give your muscles 48 hours rest.
 
Feel it out. If you're still making gains and don't feel any of the symptoms of overtraining with what you're doing, don't change it. There's no reason to.
 
I did very well years ago with a training program doing the whole body 3x a week, beats the snot out of you though and your diet has to be spot on. Got alot of stretch marks on the arms during that period.

If your going to kick your ass like that, I would switch to a regular workout once in awhile, and cycle back and forth as you see fit, if you like that idea. I do HST every once in awhile for about 3 weeks at a time, then go back to my 4 on 1 off.
