I do a variation of 5/3/1 with bodybuilding assistance pretty much standing millitary as the mandatory working up to a big set of 5+ to failure the back off so 5x5 then do a shit load of side and rear delts
Low rep stuff are great but I wouldn't do them too much... especially with shoulders. My shoulders are fine but honestly I know so much guys who have fucked up shoulders from heavy pressing. Many have bad backs and knees but shoulders is probably no.1 I see. Some really heavy stuff is great after plenty of warming up but if it were me I wouldn't go below 10 reps for shoulders. Throw in the occasional really heavy 5-8 reps sets but not too much. I do love training shoulders though. Really abuse those side laterals
