As I've said in other posts, we had no business being there, but now that we broke it we have to fix it. we cant just pick up and go. the only answer is to send in the 500,000 troops that Gen Shinsecki had originally said would be neccessary (maybe more now that its a complete clusterfuck) and "win".

Once the insurgency is overwhelmed, accellerate the transition to Iraqii keystone-cops armed forces maintaining their own security.

by continuing to just try desperately to maintain the status quo, we'll just continue to lose 10 or 15 more soldiers a week indefinately. the cynical bastards figure this is better passed under the radar than 100 all at once with a major push even tho the first option will cost WAY more american lives in the long run.
