yoga

I did an Indonesian yoga class, related to the martial art penjat silak this week.

OMG it was so hard.

I am squatting over 200 lbs and leg pressing over 500 lb and it make my quads sore.

LOL. i can't believe i made this thread last night. i was feeling so relaxed and mellow.LOLOLOLO

i havn't been activily involved in yoga before, but turns out i'm pretty darn flexabily. i didn't have any problem with the poses last night......its really is relaxing for me.

edit: just wanted to add or ask if anyone does pilates?
I like yogalates. It's a mix of yoga and pilates. I've also seen it listed as 'yogini.' There aren't any classes locally so I have a dvd. I sweat during yogalates but not normally during straight yoga.

I teach pilates and will do it over yoga anytime. I'm just not a yoga person. They are completely different ballgames. Yoga focuses more on meditation and mind body conntection. Pilates focuses on more rehabilitation of the body and spinal alignment. I do not work abs ever and I have a six pack just from teaching pilates and I am very flexible.

Tat- I am soo blown away by you! Your such an insipiration!
I set my squat goal to 200lbs...
Im @ 120 & I can do 3 sets- 6 reps... one day, Ill be strong like you!!

I just started doing the Fittv Namaste 1/2 hour (more like 20 minutes total) routine everyday. I love it but my biggest problem is not being able to do the 'crane' pose. I gots da week wrists:(
