Would you pay this ticket?!

Ok so I was merging onto a 3 lane busy road. From this merge you need to go into the reserved bus lane (you have no choice). Since you are not allowed to drive in the bus lane, you need to merge as quick as you can to the middle lane once you make the merge.
I'm in the bus lame and had my flicker on waiting to merge into the middle lane but no one would let me in. I went about 300 ft and no joke, a cop jumps out from a bush, in front of my car, I slam on my breaks, almost hit the jerk and he tells me to pull over.
I tell him "hey I almost hit you. You cannot jump out into traffic like that. What did I do?"
He said " you were driving in the reserved bus lane"
I was like "yeah I was and my flicker was on and I was trying to get into the middle lade"
He says "What for a whole block you were trying to merge"
I should have said "well you were hiding in a bush, how the hell did you see how far I was"
So the DICK writes me a $151 ticket
Do I pay it or fight it?

i'd fight it but expect to lose.

Once a cop pulled me over for expired tags. I saw him before I passed by. He was parked in the entry drive to an office building AT LEAST 30 yards back from the road and I wasn't even in the right most lane. Superman couldn't have seen my expired tag from where that fucker was parked. I didn't want to make it worse by calling him on it. I figure he was radaring someone else, pulled out to chase, decided he couldn't catch them in traffic then saw my dumbass

I would try to fight it. But I live in a state when we are 2 highest in auto insurance premiums. If it is our first offense in (i think) 3 years you can go to this lame class that you pay for and it is taken off your record. I don't have a clue how things are in Canada. Yall don't even need to carry health insurance do you? I am pretty sure that is what I was told by some of the guys I wrote ins on that moved here from there to be nurses.

take a picture of the intersection and the bush he was in and bring it to the hearing. It will be dismissed if it is as you suggested. Goodluck.

Like DT said, you could fight it, but you WILL lose.

No matter how big a dickhead the cop is being you gotta kiss their power-hungry asses. After all they write you the tickets, not the other way around unfortunately.

I would fight it! But then again my driving record is spotless.
The more tickets you have the greater the chance to lose the fight..If your record is near to clean or clean than fight it.
