WOOHOOO!!!....(click to find out why im so happy)

thanks guys...and ladies

I just cant wait for another meet to come around now. Had two bad ones in a row (got hurt, then bombed) so this is a long time coming.

Devastation your an APF judge if i remember correct right? whats it going to take to get a full power meet here in CT some time?? ;)

QS hows the Metal gear working for you? i hate the ipf squat suits but im interested in their bench shirts

I have everything Metal. Supposidly the Metal Viking pro bencher is the shiznett... It has an easy to learn groove and a lot of pop of the bottom. The have the new bash bencher and denim but havn't heard anything about them and they are friggin expensive.

I have the IPF Viking X-type bencher, it's allright but no confidence in the sleeves, I beleive I will blow it out soon. If your going single ply, I think Titan is coming out with a new one but the F6 is the best for the money. One of my partners has one, he's a 165 lber looking to bench 415 in it. This past week prior to getting the sleeves on we twisted them inwards a bit, friggin jacked up the shirt significantly once it was set.

I hated my squat suit too, maybe its because of my build - but I couldn't seem to get the damn thing up high enough on my thighs. I am a very upright squatter and it seemed to give me nothing in the hole. In meets I have watched, I have liked the Titan squat suits as they seem a bit more streamlined for a smaller build. Don't get me wrong, it did give me a good jump in weight, but still wanted to try some other brands. I had an old Titan Centurion lent to me and I really liked it - I wanted to get a custom Titan, but never did. My Metal bencher was the IPF single-ply which I did not press enough weight in to ever blow out. I think I would like an open back, but the federation we lifted in didn't allow them. More accomodating to my 'chest' if you get my drift. :) - all in all, I like the Metal and it was a heck of single ply, but as also mentioned in this thread by chambewy, other brands are worth a look.

Ive got to try that trick with the sleeves on my ragex single next time. I talked with Brent Mikesell about shirts for a while and he said all the big benchers are moving away from yanking the front down as much as possible. now they are taking the shoulder seams and pulling them down as much as possible on the triceps. I do this now and it works well, painful and cuts you up, but it does give tremendous support at the bottom without messing up the groove.

As far as the Titan shirt coming out, i met a kid at this meet i just did. He is sponsored by them and he has one of the new shirts. He didnt really want to show any of us the shirt, but we talked him into it. It makes my double ply ragex look and feel like an old blast shirt! Its a poly, but you would swear the material is canvas, absolutly crazy shit.

The Centurion is my favorite suit to date, you feel like you can squat with your natural form and it still gives you a ton of support (as far as single ply goes). Plus I can use it to deadlift in and it works great.
