I'm more interested in knowing if it has permanent effects on the male reproductive system. I dont really like the idea of not being able to have kids in the future due to taking an industrial chemical to lose weight, ya know?
If it temporarily effected sperm count/quality, thats personally no big deal. And as for birth defects, I dont know why anyone would take DNP while pregnant or even while their wife/gf was pregant... that'd almost be asking for it.
Pretty much none. DNP is non-hormonal and will just "dye" your body fluids yellow.
For women its a far more complicated matter b/c temperataure variations at the core of her reproductive system may/may not hurt the eggs.(If she's not very, very careful with her water intake and supplementation)
If a women gets dehydrated on DNP, core body temp goes up, and the eggs might be damaged.
But it has to be quite a severe dehydration IMO on a 200mg dose.
With men, DNP is a substance we can quantify. Good research.
With women, the research is not as good.
Hence the problem.
