Depends on the metropolitan area, the demand, ect........but an average starting pay for a R.D. is about 35,000 - 50,000............school districts pay their R.D.'s very well!

you need a bachekors degree in nutrition. than a one year internship (rotations from clinical, food service, counseling, etc), than you can take the RD examination to be a registered dietician-i start my internship next year. it is nice and all but you have to have the right faculty-mine sucks and they give dietetic practice a bad name. they are all 30 pounds over weight and think grains should be the staple of every diet...30 years behind in what they preach!

I was thinking of changing majors, but I guess I'll stick with MIS
