But uh, don't listen to me.. cause I'm a girl and don't know anything.

Shouldn't you be fixing us men folk some 1/ lb burgers, baked potatoes and beer? j/k :)

I shoot for 4,500 cals with atleast 400-450 protein (I'm 210) I'm going by 20 times body weight for cals and 2 times body weight for pro, then adding some since I still do some cardio while bulking, since Rugby starts back up at the end of the summer.

Good post Tux,

I think the big problem with substituting whey for whole food is the amount of vitamins, iron, creatine that you are denying yourself that come with whole food. Having said that, you'd need to eat 7 stakes (10 ounce) to get the same amount of creatine as you'd find in one helping of creatine mono. So, it makes sence to supplement yourself and yes, you can't make your calories without them. But my point is that your body needs alot more than simple whey and by denying it whole food, you are effectively starving yourself. But, if your eating well and keeping yourself loaded with protein every 2 hours you'll make great gains

Great post. I feel the same way

yeah I think you have to feel it out alot. everyone's metabolism is different. There is no magic number just I lot of guess and check.
