BTW sonny, I am going to attempt an answer to your question to keep this thread on topic. Diamond, if you happen to read the post above, PM a reply.
Sonny, carbohydrates are merely a fancy name for sugar/glucose. That is what they will end up as in the body once they are broken down. Now, the difference between complex and simple is the time it takes for your body to digest them. Some carbs will produce a steady and longer lasting insulin spike, while some will spike it heavily for a short period of time. Honey for example, spikes the insulin for 2 hours, making it ideal for post workout.
40-30-30 diets work, but once insulin levels are up, fat loss is slowed. It is not halted, yet the trick with the 40-30-30 is giving you great pumps for a low cal diet in the gym+cardio, while allowing fat great fat loss in the evening, where you will restrict carbs and will have no insulin spikes. My 40-30-30 has 160g carbs. Dont be fooled by the 40g bullshit going around.
About the 603010 diet, the fat in that has to be upped, no fat will definetely halt your weight loss. 10% fat is too little, while 60%carbs is too much, IMO. Even if you are doing DNP, 50% carbs is fine.
