What to put in with deads.

Had my first session of deadlifts today.
Doing 5x3
with a warm up and a max at either end.


I did some weighted chins with them afterwards. Aiming fo another 5x3
but i really wasnt feeling it.

Any suggestions on what else i could use?
Im going fo purely powe gains here
 
Bent rows shouldn't hit your lower back all that much...I guess it depend on where you pull them to though. I bring the bar to my chest with elbows pointing directly away from my sides rather than tucking them back. Tends to hit my middle back most. Yeah bro...do some rows. How about some bent over lateral raises? Drive with your elbows and squeez & hold at the top.

My old back routine used to be this:

Chins(Palms facing away)
2-4 sets

Barbell Rows
2-4 sets

Deadlifts
3-5 sets

Seated Pulley Rows (optional)
1-3 sets.

My back day generally goes: Deads, Barbell rows, chins/pulldowns and thats it. Rows feel nice and light after heavy deads.
