What is the most painful injury you have gotten at you gym?

Not that I really want to get involved, but as long as people were not waiting to squat on the rack I do not see a problem with it.

Reality

You can curl as heavy as you want anywhere in a gym. The same cannot be said for heavy squats, good-mornings, rack pulls, etc... When I walk into a gym ready to lift and I have to wait for some dumbass curling in the power rack it makes no sense. If there are others using the power rack in a fasion in which it was truly meant to be used (i.e. heavy compound movements) then I have no problem waiting until the power rack becomes available.

Point taken. I have had that happen to me before so I know exactly where you are coming from. I am guilty of using the rack for curls though, I will only use them if there are other ones open. My gym is fortunate enough to have a couple.

Was doing leg presses with the 100lb plates. Finished my four sets, and was unloading the machine when one of those fuckers slipped out of my fingers and slammed straight onto my foot. I'm remember not yelling or anything thing, instead I took about 5 steps while thinking this is going to suck cause I was having a great leg workout, and now it will be cut short :). Walked to the nearest bench, and soon as a pulled my shoe off my foot swelled to the size of a football. A few guys carried me to a car and drove me to the hospital. Turns out I crushed almost every muscle and tendon in my foot, but didn't brake one bone.

This happened about 8 years ago while I was in Highscool, and used to walk to the gym (bout 2-3 miles away). Two days later I walked to that damn gym with crutches and did chest and back.

My back while I was deadlifting 550 lbs, this totally hot chick started doing bodyweight squats with hardly nothing covering her ass. I loss my concentration while staring at her ass and before i knew it, my back was hurting. About a week later, we went out on a date, where she amitted that she was squating in front of me to get my attention.

Are you saying I am a dumbass? It does make sense(curling using the power rack) because I told you the weight is in the perfect position to lift. And please show me the work out manual where it says the power rack is truly meant to be used in heavy compound movements only. And before you totally fly off the handle again I don't use the rack either unless both(my gym has two racks like engine9 has) are open. So as the sargent in the movie "Stripes" said, "Lighten up Francis"

...I evened strained my rotator cuff on doing bar bench(never again only dumbbells)

Are you sure it was your rotator cuff?? I highly doubt it was that, as rotator cuffs regulate circular movement parallel to the ground (if you are standing up). I had a similar injury to what you describe (as a result of bar) and I was told it was a joint just above the rotator cuff (connecting the clavicle with the arm). Just curious :)
