You might want to try looping the bands around a set of heavy dumbells and putting them on the floor. I do this for all of my mini band work. If you have round dumbells, you can lay a second dumbell across the first one to keep it from rolling on the floor.

Thats a good idea. I use a dumbell to anchor down the mini's too.

I put a 25 pound plate flate on the floor-
one 25 plate in front of the dumbell and one 25 lb plate behind the dumbell so the dumbell doesnt move at all
 
Thanks for the replies everyone, once this cycle is over I will be changing ME exercises every week, and also I will try the band thing with the dumbells or plates.
