...over the last couple of days the abcess in my arm got worse despite the anti-biotics, so I went to the ER last night.
They lanced open my bicep and trained over a pint of puss from it (I've had this abcess since monday of last week, and got treatment the next day). They gave me IV antibiotics and morphin (good stuff), and wrote a script for more appropriate antbiotics a viocodin. The last few days I have not been up to getting and out doing anything.
I've been out of teh gym two weeks, I got food poisoning the weekend before, which is what probably lowered my immune system enough to allow the infection to start in the first place (no it was not from juice... I have not done a site shot in my biceps for a couple of months). I've already lost a little size, a good inch off my arms and thighs. In a couple of weeks I can start trying again, but it will be a little longer before I can train my bicep, due to the 1/2" incision in it (about 2" from where it inserts into elbow which is where most of the infection was). This is my first setback since getting into bodybuilding, and it is not going to slow me down or stop me. I'll regain everything I've lost and be bigger than ever by showtime this summer.
My diet is exceptionally clean right now, although still high calories (I eat only low GI carbs...sweet potatoes and brown rice without something to lower its GI and not low GI carbs...fucking bodybuilders need to learn how to read) and a ton of EFA's and veggies.
Annabelletx has been here for me, and I couldn't ask for a better girl. She had to leave the room when they were draining the abcess though, but she was there for me the entire time, called my mother while we were there, drove me home, and even stopped by the grocery store to get me some things I needed after we left. I'm lucky to have her.
