Uneven Arms ; What gives

My right arm was arounf 1/2 inch smaller than my left arm. Since i have started juice. The difference has gone up almost 1 inch. I train my left a little less and at one point even didn't work it out for a month. Still its much bigger and fuller than the right. Anyone else has that problem and what did you do?

I have a minor imbalance between the left and the right especially the tricep , I think the reason is because I'm right handed and because of hand-writing etc. , the muscle gets significantly more work. Only thing I can recommend is do very few sets. My entire body has grown well off a natural HIT approach , although I can't wait to start my two weeker soon (Yippee!).

I have dealt with symmetry problems for years. Switching to dumbbells will help. But the biggest reason(for me) for the difference in size of my parts is in the way you use that part during daily activities. If you lean to one side of your body more often or use your right arm to do most activities, brushing your teeth picking stuff up, etc. then you will have better muscle feel on the most often used side. Just a tip for you. It takes a while to notice a difference, but I am a creature of habit and I analyzed these movements to make sure I use all parts of my body equally.

If you are already using DBs and doing more sets for the lagging arm, try this:

Get a light DB that you can curl for 35-50 reps without going to failure. Every morning curl it 35-50 times with the weaker arm first thing. Then do the same thing every eveing. After a month of this, along with your normal arm training, the smaller part will catch up.

i have a one inch difference between my right and left arm. I couldn't believe it when i measured them. It's probably because I'm a baseball pitcher, and i use my right arm, so that may be why its so much bigger, but one inch seems like a huge difference.

I had this very badly when I was about 23-24. I used to work a couple hours a day on a buffing wheel... holding brass tubes hard against the wheel to grind off nicks. Over the period of about a year by favoring my right arm... I built it up an inch larger than my left.

The only way to fix this is to go to dumbell work, but you have to be very specific how you work the dumbbells:

Start with your weak arm FIRST.

If you can do say 8 reps with 50 lbs doing dumbbell concentration curls with your weak arm... then stop at 8 reps when you do the curls with your strong arm.

Always go to failure on an exercise with your weak arm - then stop at that number with your strong are even though you can do more reps.

If you do this... you will balance out quickly.

Wow, that's exactly what I do. Great minds work alike.

I heard you are pretty smart, too.
