trouble breathing in cold?

i am in the cold a lot doing high intensity training especially cardio.

THe cold makes my chest, throat and lungs feel constricted and i cant get a full breath of air. Is there anything that can help this so i will be able to breathe normally?

also my nose gets all stuffed up and runs too? any suggestions please?

I breathe much better in the cold conditions. Maybe it is because when it gets hot in Kentucky it gets VERY humid. Ever try lifting outside when it is 100 degrees and the humidity is 100 and it is NOT raining? Welcome to Kentucky in August...

well i play ice hockey so i am talking air tempature maybe 30-50 degrees.

i was thinking an albuterol inhaler or something like that
any suggestions

I also breath better in cold weather. Like B Fold said, the humidity is terrible!! We are talking 90 to 100 percent. The Gulf moisture makes the air sticky especially in the south.

it feels like my airways are restricted and i cant take a deep breathe even for like 2 hours after i am done.

i dont have medical insurance so i cant see a doc.

anyone else have this problem

Yup, I've got that. My throat constricts and I have a difficult time breathing hard in the cold. Generally I just work through it.

Go see a doctor, they'll run some tests (I was diagnosed with 'exercise induced asthma' years ago) and probably give you an inhaler.

Mine never worked for me, so I just try not to kill myself jogging.
