This can happen to you when you smoke pot and do weight lifting

actually try it next time and see..it won't tip over, unless you have a home gym then it would.

yeah, unless the uprights (supports) are hella narrow, then i can't imagine it tipping over w/2x45 on one side... of course, when you unrack it in that state... that's pretty funny... yet another motivating factor for my quitting smoking...

Actually it depends on how close to the rack the weights are. You could put 1000 lbs. on one end without it tipping over if you could put the weight close enough to the upright. It's like making a fulcrum on a lever.

Of course if you put the weight out on the end of the bar away from the upright then it would tip.

not calling bullshit or anything but i agree with the general public....it shouldnt tip over...but if he was lifting it i am sure it was a bit of a difference between 2 on one side and nuthin on the other

liquid,

I think what he's sayin' is, the dude loaded one side, basically forgot the other, and then went and started to lift it off... Kinda funny, although, if you think about it, anyone near that ass could've SERIOUSLY gotten busted up..

I know some dude that smells like weed so bad at my gym.
Every time I walk by him I smell that shit.
Why would you want to smoke pot before training?

tried it, put 2 45's on one side didnt tip over.. guess it depends on the setup of the bench

Try lifting the bar with two 45's on one side and nothing an the other. If it doesn't tip over it would be a miracle. Lemme know how this little experiment turns out.:wodin:

My old training mate was a huge pothead and he would do stupid shit like this all the time-pretty funny shit, sad thing was he was so used to training stoned that he couldn't do it straight-he was all fucked up.

Two 45lb plates on only one side WONT tip over the average bar at most commercial gyms. Some home gyms have narrow weight racks and could possibly be tipped by that kind of weight.

As for training stoned on the gritchy green, it can be done, but you need to use common sense if you decide to train high. Certain exercises require a good degree of control and balance, which isnt always the best while high (stuff like squats, snatches, cleans, etc.). Cardio or arm training would be likely candidates for a 'blazed' workout (although its not fun trying to look not high when you're on a row of treadmills or eliptical trainers with others around).
