The Shocking Truth About What The Pros Use

But the point remains. They made amazing gains, but the muscle wasn't solid. And the gains came so easily they couldn't even manage a basic exercise protocol afterward.

I'd love to see pics of guys 6 months AFTER a cycle. THAT shows what they really have. Fuck, if you do a gram of gear a day, you can do jumping jacks for 5 minutes a day and have a good amount of muscle. lol

we actually talked about this in a thread on evo.. I myself look leaner and more cut off cycle then I do on. it seems like the nutrition partitioning affects of gear work very well for me and my muscles get bigger while on, and then when I come off I shed off extra fat and water and have a much more tight physique.

I agree that there were some drastic changes, but coming off of high levels of androgens were not the only thing that contributed to the transformation. I hardly believe any of them guys are maintaining their consistent training and strict diet that contributed a large part to their success. I'm sure a lot of them got burned out and became average by living an average lifestyle. Also keep in mind that these were not your average joes. These were guys miles beyond their genetic potential, so losing that is very easy without the diet, training, and of course the drugs.

Guys like Frank Zane still look great because they were never mass monsters like we have today. Hell, he won the Olympia at 185 and 5'9", so he is much closer to genetic potential. Then add in the fact that he still trains regularly and maintains a good diet and everything makes sense

Spot on as usual, its consistency, and not flooding your body with amounts of androgens which causes bigger and longer fallout, long periods on low doses seems to be the way to help consistency, and keep looking good.
If you or nelson took huge amounts of some AAS, YOU WOULD be MASS MONSTERS, but after stopping you might end up looking much worse than you did before.. Partly because of the psychological affects coming off, and the mass just cant be maintained.. its not real.

really interesting discussion guys, thank you.

I see what Nelson is saying, I learned my low dosing protocol from Nelson back in 04 and I look about the same year round on or off. Take a look at Nelsons photos before he entered his last contest back in November, and look at them in his avatar now onstage a couple of months ago? He looks the same and keeps his muscle mass year round with small doses and he advocates TRT doses just for this reason. If you look at Nelsons log for his contest he never went over a TRT dose on anything he was taking and he looks awesome. Steve is correct as well, if we were to get lazy for a month, all of us would look like those guys. Nelson is a wonderful resource on EF for us, he has assisted me personally for over 10 years now and he knows what he is doing.

Everyone I know who got really big quickly looks strange now. At school there was one guy who got massive in 3 months. I saw him 20 years later and he said it was the biggest mistake he had ever done. He has a fat lesbian/lazy security guard type body now.
