Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas
25 days in to the cycle now, just got my blood work back from the Dr. and wanted to give an update for people with similar questions and so forth. I'm still on 250mg a week. My Total Testosterone level is 1480 NG/DL, whereas the reference range is 241-827 for my age range....so at least I know my gear is legit.
As would be expected I have not experienced any negative side effects. Wife thinks testicles may be a little smaller, I personally can't tell a difference. No acne or anything to that effect. My energy levels are definitely through the roof, in a very good way. My usual workout schedule is something like 14x a week total, 8 BJJ classes, two kickboxing classes, and 3 sessions of strength and conditioning that consists of cleans, deadlifts, tire flipping, medicine balls, interval sprints, bleachers, etc. All in all very little weight lifting compared to the amount of cardio. In between workouts I have far more energy for the other things in life a husband and father takes care of, which is one of my main goals with this experiment.
I have not gained any weight despite eating between 3-4k calories a day. This is obviously due to the heavy cardio to weight training I do, and that's fine by me. I haven't noticed any difference in physique, but I am without a doubt physically stronger and able to be stronger for longer periods of time. I'm also FAST. Really fast. When I run sprints I feel like I'm riding a motorcycle and I can just twist the throttle and go faster and faster. I'm also much faster on a road bike, by a good 3mph or so average over the coarse of a 20mile or so ride.
I'm still having A LOT of trouble sleeping on heavy training days. Falling asleep isn't so bad, but without fail I wake up after 4 hours of sleep, no matter what time I go to bed. This was happening long before the test, and I was hoping the test would help cure this. On my off day I tend to sleep better/longer. I never feel tired or overtrained anymore, despite the lack of sleep though.
Despite a clean diet I was not able to keep my LDL (bad) Chol at optimal levels. It is 124, which is considered low risk, you want to be under 100. My HDL(good chol) was 43, which is very good. Everything else in the blood work looked good, perfect functioning liver, kidneys, so forth. If you have questions about specific numbers ask and I'll see if they're on this chart.
Thanks again for all the advice guys, I'll keep this updated for future referencing.
