Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique please.

Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas

25 days in to the cycle now, just got my blood work back from the Dr. and wanted to give an update for people with similar questions and so forth. I'm still on 250mg a week. My Total Testosterone level is 1480 NG/DL, whereas the reference range is 241-827 for my age range....so at least I know my gear is legit.

As would be expected I have not experienced any negative side effects. Wife thinks testicles may be a little smaller, I personally can't tell a difference. No acne or anything to that effect. My energy levels are definitely through the roof, in a very good way. My usual workout schedule is something like 14x a week total, 8 BJJ classes, two kickboxing classes, and 3 sessions of strength and conditioning that consists of cleans, deadlifts, tire flipping, medicine balls, interval sprints, bleachers, etc. All in all very little weight lifting compared to the amount of cardio. In between workouts I have far more energy for the other things in life a husband and father takes care of, which is one of my main goals with this experiment.

I have not gained any weight despite eating between 3-4k calories a day. This is obviously due to the heavy cardio to weight training I do, and that's fine by me. I haven't noticed any difference in physique, but I am without a doubt physically stronger and able to be stronger for longer periods of time. I'm also FAST. Really fast. When I run sprints I feel like I'm riding a motorcycle and I can just twist the throttle and go faster and faster. I'm also much faster on a road bike, by a good 3mph or so average over the coarse of a 20mile or so ride.

I'm still having A LOT of trouble sleeping on heavy training days. Falling asleep isn't so bad, but without fail I wake up after 4 hours of sleep, no matter what time I go to bed. This was happening long before the test, and I was hoping the test would help cure this. On my off day I tend to sleep better/longer. I never feel tired or overtrained anymore, despite the lack of sleep though.

Despite a clean diet I was not able to keep my LDL (bad) Chol at optimal levels. It is 124, which is considered low risk, you want to be under 100. My HDL(good chol) was 43, which is very good. Everything else in the blood work looked good, perfect functioning liver, kidneys, so forth. If you have questions about specific numbers ask and I'll see if they're on this chart.

Thanks again for all the advice guys, I'll keep this updated for future referencing.

your blood values are gonna be all over the place on cycle. that is normal.

keep in mind all the benefits of being on test are gonna backfire 2 fold when you come off. you will probably end up in worse shape after then when you started especially with someone with an advanced endurance background... keep in mind testosterone aromatizes into estrogen in the body, so the extra water weight will be counter productive.

i would implore you to consider krill oil and natty supps that stryker recommended in the future. AAS should be left to bodybuilders/powerlifters, not endurance athletes.

Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas

Since I have not gained any water weight is it possible that I'm actually losing some muscle somehow?

Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas

^^^how do you know you haven't gained water weight?

you should feel the effects if you do heavy cardio, you will be slowed down considerably.

i will tell ya i played tennis recently and boy it was not fun.. i felt like a statue out there. bodybuilding is totally different than endurance sports.

OP for what you are wanting I would really very strongly consider peptides. Check GHRP-6 and GHRP-2. I would mix which ever one looks most promising to you with CJC 1295(without dac). Also if you want more info on this feel free to pm stevesmi. He is a whiz at this stuff.
I think this would do you much better then AAS for your goals and no sides and you can stay on as long as you want.
Good luck and post up plz.

Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas

you are not gaining weight be cause you are not eating enough to gain weight. thats it. if you want to gain weight take in more calories.

GOMAD works for a lot of people. Drink a Gallon of milk a day.

also you could slack off the endurance training and just hit the weights and eat like a horse for 2 months. If you put on 10lbs and can keep it most likely it would help you in the long run and then jus resume your endurance training but eat like you need to in order to hold onto the new weight.

Plenty of people have moved up in weight classes and almost all of them will taper off the endurance training for the short term in order to put on muscle.

Good Luck

Thanks Zed, looking into it now.

I just got back from running bleachers at a large college stadium. The incline becomes greater as you near the top, and its 66 steps up. I ran the fastest I ever have and did 2 more sets than usual even with less rest in between sets. The numbers show that I am more explosive and have more endurance both in high intensity interval training AND endurance runs/bicycling. I am the exact opposite of slowed down considerably.

I assume I haven't gained any water weight because I haven't gained any weight period. Not trying to undermine what you guys are saying, I'm here for the education. Thanks again!

Thanks man, excellent advice on making the most of the cycle I'm on.

Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas

9 weeks in now and wanted to put up a progress report.

I decided to make the most of the rest of the cycle and follow some of the advice given here and have been very happy with the results. I switched the majority of my cardio for lifting and have been eating like a beast every day. I got a good lifting coach who knows about my cycle and has some experience in that area so I have really been able to see a lot of progress lately. I'm up from 155 to a very solid 165, size 30 waist and a nice six pack that my wife loves. My weight reps go up every week and I feel great working out, training and in the bedroom too.

The only side effect I've had so far is slightly smaller testicles. No acne, bacne, hair loss, tits or excessive aggression. As a bonus of already being pretty lean before I started I am very vascular now just walking around and look like a mini-hulk while I'm lifting....which is always fun to see. Various injuries I've had during the last 3 months seem to heal very quickly. All in all I've been very happy and am excited about possible future cycles down the road when I'm not in competition season. Any questions for me feel free to ask, I'll check in so hopefully this thread serves as a decent reference.

Re: Test E for repair and recovery...not necessarily size. Discuss and critique pleas

Well bro, this is why many serious grapplers and MMA athletes use test. It is actually rampant at the higher levels of both sports. You would be suprised to know how many national level grapplers train with test. Kinda suprised to hear people here saying test doesn't make sense for this kind of activity, as it is well known within MMA that it in fact will allow you to train a lot more. Your feedback in this thread is very informative, and it would be appreciated if you keep it updated.

Glad you started eating more.. dropping the cardio will help as well.
