Tattoos and ARM SIZE

thinking too long about getting a tat: #2 sign you are not ready to have a tat

For some, I agree.

For me, I definitely disagree. It's about being intelligent about where your life is going. I wanted to wait until I really understood what the working world in my industry was like, for fear that a tattoo "could" potentially be an issue somewhere, somehow. Because I had that foresight, I now understand this industry and its culture.

So whats not played out? I need to do alot more research before I get a tattoo on my arm but whats in now?
Don't get a tattoo that is now. Get something that is you. I got mine designed for me yes it is a butterfly but it represented a coming of age, it sits on a trillium flower which is my provincial flower. It grows only in the wild here and it is illegal to pick it. So what I am getting at is everything in it has a meaning to me. One of my best friends did a water colour painting of my idea and I brought that to the artist who recreated it as a tattoo for me. I have had it for almost 2 years and not once have I regretted it. I love it today just as much if not more then when I first go it.
As for your original question yes wait tell you get bigger as it will defiantly change that look of that tattoo.

Most tats do better expanding vs contracting with the skin.

The more detail it has in it, the more chance it will get whacked
by stretching either way.

Think about something that is important to you. You aren't in a tribe I bet..
Something that when you look at your tat every day, reminds you of something.
Something that will always be important to you for the next 50-60 years hopefully.

People that like the ocean or water do that sort of thing, people that are religious
go with a reminder of that stuff.

Or you can simply wait until that something comes along. Maybe a child later on or a memorial tat etc. Don't get one just to get one without a true reason and a well thought out design.

Most of the tats done for the hell of it are hated years later.

bro its not about whats "in" or whats "out" whats "cool" whats "not" its about something that means something to you and something worth it to you, not what everyone else thinks and how you'll fit in, you dont need one if thats what your shooting for ...

Word! Something unique. The only tat I still like is my sprig of cherries on my ankle since I designed it and it really says something about me.

I'm saving money for next year to get the lower back tat removed since it is so playd. By '04 it was the official chick uniform. The lame assed tribal chick oooh look at my booty lower back tat. :groan: I havent displayed it since summer '03.
