Spironolactone for Hair Loss

Friend is currently beginning his 5th week of Test E at 500 mg/week (with 0.5 mg LiquidDex ED), but he hasn't noticed any results (in the gym or sex drive). He's gained 6 lbs. of weight, but it's most likely a result of increasing calories during the first 4 weeks. He is using propecia, and used spironolactone during the first 2.5 weeks. Is either the propecia (2.5 mg/week) or spironolactone the reason he has yet to notice an increase in strength/sex drive?

spirinol is used high blood pressure by reducing water, it would not affect sex drive, dont know about propecia, dont use it, so I dont study it.

proscar/propecia/finasteride has been known to lower sex drive.

And if you're talking about spironolactone oral, TELL YOUR FRIEND TO STOP TAKING IT. This is more than likely the culprit if its the oral one. Spiro oral is hell for males.

Though if its spiro topical, you are in the clear. There is no system sides from using the topical

It's topical spiro. Sorry for any confusion.

that's debatable. an anti-androgen delivered in an alcohol carrier is definitely liable to penetrate and go systemic....and the common spiro carriers offered are alcohol-based. plus there is a report circulating that involves before and during spiro treatment labtests - testosterone levels dropped significantly, and there were no exogenous androgens involved.

the combination of reasonably high doses of a strong AI, a 5AR inhibitor, and an anti-androgen that may be systemic is a recipe for significantly reduced gains from test. i am surprised the guy on the cycle didnt realize this going in.
