I am not a big fan and user of soy protein but I am sure it has some good properties when used in moderation

People with type 2 or non-insulin-dependent diabetes and decreased kidney function who consume soy protein on a regular basis may see improvements in their kidney function and cholesterol levels.

I used to be afraid of soy because of the phytoestrogen, but it's looking like all the estrogen they give cows is coming up in milk now. Its everywhere. Why do we never find food with test in it?!

I don't use soy protein 'cause soy is known to boost estrogen production.

No study ever proved thoses phytoestrogens from soy proteins to have oetrogenic properties in healthy men

I think the phytoestrogen in soy tends to work more on the bone receptors (alpha? someone check me on that) rather than the reproductive receptors (beta?). I'm still iffy on the effect of soy on athletics. At first it sounds like bad news, but it is probably more involved than that. The fact that Lance Armstrong drinks soy milk is, IMO, noteworthy as well (he's not very estrogen-y, and I believe he has only one testicle to boot).

That is truly a good question-- especially in a patriarchical society where the men get the booster drugs 1st- ie viagra. Thats cool though. Frankly I would rather nothing be put in my food!!

And I wish the government would not make insulin a perscription drug- lying to get it is a rather unnerving matter.

bloody government.
