Some skinny kid at my gym told me: "Bro, you over-train"

I read some where recently that stated, roughly, that a guy can expect to increase his arm size an inch with every 15 lbs of additional weight gain (lean gain not fat on the abs). That said:

If he is 170 lbs and has 18" arms, then if he were to weigh 215, then he should have 21" guns.

How many of you 215 pounders out there have 21" arms?

His arm size is possible, but I don't think he's got it. My reasoning for this is a friend of mine competed in the Mr. usa contest as a middleweight. At the weigh in he was 176lbs at 5'6" tall, and his arms did measure 20 inches. But he does this for a living, has amazing genetics and DOES juice all of the time. I have seen him take 200mg of anadrol for a few weeks without any anti-est and he had zero signs of gyno! I can't believe it myself but I saw it with my own eyes. He also has a full head of hair. But I don't believe this dude's arm size and I do believe that he is overtraining.

No WAY IN HELL can any one recover from an intense workout to do another TWO workouts in the same week!!!

I'd tend to agree with that. Even on gear if I could only hit a body part twice per week. If I double-up sets on a day (intentionally overtrain a part) then it is done for the week.

I personally don't believe we should be attempting to discredit this guy by questioning his arm size. That's really not the issue here. If he is 170 lbs with 18 inch arms then great. You guys are missing the point here.

I knew this post would be bashed, but you know what.....i have been lifting for 6 years. I just started this 2-3 a week routine for each part. I've gotten sick results from it, my arms grew like wildfire. I feel the best I ever been. Maybe you are right, but my genetics are reacting 100% to what I am doing. I will not change my routine, not at the rate I am growing. The point of the matter is, I hate when people make comments when they look like shit themselves. I see people at the gym do fucked up exercises the wrong way, but I just keep my mouth shut, and that is exactly what he should of done. If doing one body part once a week works for you, so be it. But whatever I am doing, is working for me.

Man I couldn't agree with you more! Currently I'm doing everything twice a week and have definitely noticed a difference! If its working why not keep doing it? Everybody is different and you gotta do what works for you. What gets me is its always the dorks like you mentioned that know everything about bodybuilding but look like shit! I got several trainers in my gym like that - they talk the talk but are all puny and small! Talk about practice what you preach...........

YOU'RE THE MYRTLE BEACH HAMMER?!?!?!?!
I've met you before. Do you know why they call you the hammer?
Because your body is disproportionate. Big on top skinny legs.

Oh, so you've heard of me??
Are you from the area?
