Solid Question

The pressing movements include; Flat bench, Incline bench, and Military/Overhead presses. All movements are completed utilizing a barbell.

What is considered a balanced ratio of pressing movements?

Ratio of pressing movements compared to what? pulling movements? I think it is good to look at exercises as movements, rather than to obsess over what bodyparts they hit......the 3 lifts you mentioned can be considered CORE upper body movements, and they are 3 of the best, I'd throw in dips and you have the 4 best.....I think as long as a program contains an equal number of CORE upper body movements, CORE lower body movements such as squats, front squats, leg presses, and CORE total body movements, like cleans, snatches, and deadlifts, then it is a solid routine....look at your weaknesses and evaluate, as long as a program's goal is to imrpove the whole body in a balanced fashion, I think it is good.

I hope I interpreted your post correctly, PolishHammer. If you meant a ratio of pressing movements using a barbell to those using dumbells, I think assessing your weaknesses and variety to keep gains coming and for mental stimulation is key.

Negative.

You obviously misunderstood the question. There are no hidden meanings.
If I can bench press 400+, incline press 300+, and overhead 200+ is that considered balanced for pressing?

I got ya now, but it wasn't worded that clearly initially.....and if those are the numbers it is unbalanced, if you can bench 400, your overheads should be 275+ and your inclines should be 365 plus......for someone with those numbers I would drop benching for a while and concentrate on inclines and overheads, you'd be surprised how much your bench is helped by shoulder strength.....anyone who benches 400lbs is a strong bencher under any circumstance, if they can only overhead press 200 they hae a serious imbalance that needs to be addressed

Well...here are my numbers.

Flat Bench...approximately 425
Incline Bench...approximately 350-365
Overhead Press...
.....log press, 312 x 1, 273 x 5
.....Viking Press, 330 x 1
.....regular bar overhead (seated)...approximately 315 for 1-3

B True

overhead press should be about 70-75% of your bench from what I know

mine is about that
