Bro, it's probably one of the easiest ways to find women. Some times a tiny bit more time consuming than going directly to a bar but infinitely easier. Like, too easy most of the times.

Don't worry in the least about how it may be difficult, focus all your energy on realizing that people lie about themselves online. And as far as pictures go, I would get a smany as possible from her before judging her. Most chicks labor over taking the best possible photos in the best possible light at the best possible angle for posting online. These pics are typically horrible representations of how they look in real life.

That's the risk you take. I'd venture to say the majority of women who will meet you off the net and fuck you are typically insane. You also get a TON of single mothers and "older" women (nothing wrong with either of those, just sayin). So be prepared for great sex followed by lots of drama.

Don't let them see your car, to many ways to look up people by the license plate. Many will have friends who have access to police computers, they can tell them that you have been cruising by there place/office and they want to know who you are, bingo, there's your name, addy. etc...

The internet is great if you just want to get laid.
