Should a man have a say in whether his wife or girlfriend has an abortion?

girlfriend - would depend on circs

wife - 100% yes he should, in fact i think it shoul dbe law that a wife can no have a termination without her and the husbands approval.

WIVES ARE NOT PROPERTY.

What you are doing in wishing for such a law is turning women into people incapable of making their own decisions.

I won't even go into the psychology of the poor child born into a relationship where it was FORCED to be born because "daddy wanted you and mommy didn't" :worried: Way better to not be born at all, man, trust me.

agreed but what women seem to forget is that the baby is the mans as well, joint ownership if you will, not just the womens choice. im not going to let someone make a choice alone concerning a child of mine, no way

No, men shouldnt have the decision to abort
but they should have a decision on wether or not to be a part of the kids life. and if he does not want to and the girl chooses to keep the child. then you cannot give me ONE solid reason that the man should be financially responsible for what the woman decides.

Too many young mens lives are ruined by rash decisions made by confused young girls who have no buisiness raising a child anyhow
I wish there was mandatory counseling for these kids to show them other alternatives such as adoption. would save alot of broken homes and broken lives.

Agreed. Makes total logic. The days of women "getting stuck" with a baby when the guy loves them "until the get pregnant" then suddenly vanish are a thing of the past in the US.

If a woman wants to keep a baby that the sperdonor does not want then he should be made to terminate all parental rights and she doesn't get a thin dime in material support.

A woman should have ALL responsibility when she decides because it is she that will become pregnant. A man can promise whatever he wants, it is not he that will carry and primarily care fr that child. If a man wants a baby THAT bad then he should pay a surrogate.

Simple shmimple

im not saying they cant make their own choices, but im saying it should be a joint choice. not made by one person only.

agreed. and BIKINIMOM you sound bitter over something, which im guessing happened directly or indirectly to you. well then i can understand you view point but remember thats your view point. remember freedom, everyone is different and will have a different take on it and thats good. what you saying wouldnt work with me and my wife and i wouldnt allow it, because you talking about my child as well.

you have strong feelings on this for one side but so do i for the other side.

Bitter? That is in your head alone.

I quoted Wulfgar and echoed his sentiments. Odd, I don't recall you metioning that he sounded bitter.

My point of view is actually quite logical and void of "feelings".
