Should a man have a say in whether his wife or girlfriend has an abortion?

Here is the thing about mutual decision regarding abortion or having kids once a woman is pregnant.

No person should be able to make the decision to have a woman laid down on a table and strapped down against her will, a canula stuck in her vagina and her baby removed.

Likewise, no one should be allowed to force her carry a baby nine months.

Once the woman is pregnant, it is her choice.

Men had the choice whom to sleep with, to wear a condom, or to get a vasectomy if they are so stingy that they won't want to send a dime to their own children.

while i agree that women should be solely responsible for the decision regarding whether to keep the baby or abort, i have a question about what you wrote (the part i bolded)

how come a guy is an immature asshole if he doesn't want to pay child support or raise the kid, yet the woman is completely justified in aborting the kid if she doesn't want it? how is the man shirking his reponsibilities anymore than the woman is?

OR... what if you both agree on what to do prior to childs birth and then the father decides to not uphold on his end? why is it easy for a man to just walk away?

special circumstances happen like this unfortunately. I am not denying that. There are always exceptions

Regarding the "it's my body, my choice" refrain so often heard from pro-choice activists to legitimize their right to be the sole decision maker in whether or not an abortion occurs, I can only point out that in fact it is not the mother's body. It's someone's else's body that is temporarily fully dependent on the mother's body as it's own body develops. This is a new person, not a tumor.

Technically a fetus is a parasite and without the mother's body being the vehicle to house and feed it the fetus it does not exist as a human baby/infant yet (assuming we're talking 1st trimester).

The fetus has no rights.

It had no part in deciding on being created so why would it have say post that?

i agree. Each decided to have sex knowing full well that sex can create children. Now that a baby is on the way or is already born, both should do their best to be the best parent they can be.

Once you created a little child, regardless of the circumstances, it is time to be bigger than just your immediate needs and wants and love that baby.

That's why I shoot blanks. Male birth control is a beautiful thing.
