Short1 - Bodybuilding Competition Log

Wow that's interesting to do the pre-judge at 1 pm. Man that makes for a long day w/ no break.

You should be completely fine - stick to your eating / drinking schedule. Ice chips (but how many & size) are a big help if your mouth is silly dried out. Ask Jeff to tell you if he notices you chewing the insides of your cheeks -- because based on my own experience - that is what I am doing in almost every 'action' shot from my first show. Not that its bad -you are silly dried out - but it does look funny on stage.

And then just watch your water intake after the pre-judge cuz you aren't off the hook yet. Don't want to bloat up on for the night show. Another issue I had was that I'd gotten a stomach ache between the shows I was trying to drink coffee or something that would sort of bomb my stomach and make it pass before the night show. Didn't work so well.

Anyway you will rock the show chica! All you! Just remember you're there to show these people what they paid money for!

Shadow has run into some problems at work. He'll be online today, so it's not like I won't have any contact with him.

...and thanks! Yell really loud from home. :D

I have a really big mouth ;)

thank you. :)

today, I'm taking it easy and will go over my pre-judging routine and also the qrtr turn stuff. Jeff just left to go run some errands and I'm sure to eat something really tasty. lol He doesn't want to eat in front of me.

hes gonna get back smelling of fried chicken or something. Your mouth will start watering which could be a good time since you can't have much water now. ;)

Just some last minute thoughts to make every pose count:

- abs & thighs -- blow out for everythign you're worth to show the detail of all the work on those abs

- all your rear shots -- because you are takign that wide stance, be sure to sit down / into your stance to show off your ham development. If you have it there, its something to show off because it is one of those evil estrogenic places where women have to kill to get the detail out (LMAO Unless you're hoteacher...) Even to get some shape besides just "the back of your leg" to pop will stand out to the judges.

You might spend a few minutes practicing in the mirror under good light or take pix to see how different degrees of sitting into the pose bring up more ham detail.

These are just really minute details that if you've got all the poses down & completely and mindlessly and consistently executing, spend a few minutes to see about a little bit of extra detail to see what looks best. It sometimes helps to have a recent moment spent looking at these in your mind when you get on stage and you can remember to add in that extra little detail with just a little more sittign into or whatever. (Or you may just go completely on automatic and just do it ... my mind barely registers that I'm on stage - I literally have to just let my body do what is habit.)

And if you're getting nervous some little tasks may help keep you occupied without getting bored doign your routine & the posing over & over. My suggestions above are nothing to get concerned about -- I'm just suggesting to experiment a little to see what shows up on stage best -- the poses are down tight already - this is just experimenting to see what you wear best on stage.

But do remember to enjoy it on stage. It really is a kick. The whole point is to have fun.

Oh yea, and at the final posedown when you've won your weight class and they do an overall trophy posedown, do like the guys do! Don't be polite and just stand in your little spot on stage and pose -- get up in front, regardless of who else you step in front of, take the stage cuz you own it and just show the people what they paid to see. Just seeing the women get up & do the posedown is awesome and it will get the crowd going no matter what. Give em that "YEA BABY! THAT'S MY GLUTES YOU WANT A PIECE OF! HELL YEA THEM'S MY GUNS! F* YEA BABY! CHECK OUT THIS QUADSWEEP! YOU WISH YOURS WAS THAT GOOD!"

(LOL I'm thinking the same attitude like that song "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me" ...) It's all attitude!

tomorrow morning @ 9am

pre-judging @ 1pm

night show @ 7pm

just got out of the shower and look a little better -I'll take pics again tonight. Shadow and Ilk will most likely not make it, so it's just Jeff and me. The bright side of this is that if I screw up, no one will know but me. ;)
Don't worry, I will be there to cheer you on.

But I won't tell anyone if you mess up (not like I would even know if you did).

Good luck girl!!!! :)
