Cheers. They have been bothering me for ages, but most of the time it was like "nah it cant be", then it hit me yesterday how f**king stupid i was being and i immediately booked an appointment with my gp.

Great post! Thanks for sharing your important story and congrats that you caught it in time.

It's so easy to forget about things like that ... I think the cancer organizations should encourage couples to exchange examinations. You know ... you check your wife's boobs for lumps while she checks your balls.

Isn't that more fun than checking yourself?

I just got back from the doc today. I've had a lump about the size of a pea on the right side of my testicle for a couple months now. Didn't think much of it at first, thought it would go away but hasn't. The doc just felt it and said it wasn't cancer because it isn't attached to the testicle. He said it was some form of cyst and that I need to see a urologist. I'm not totally convinced that it's not cancer though. The shitty part of the whole deal is that I don't have health insurance and money is very tight being a married college student with a 2 year old son. I'm currently scared shitless because I know I need to get it checked out further but cant afford to. I was ready to start a spring break cycle but that has definately been put on hold. I just wonder if what I have now is gear related or not.

Hey slingblade, i to went to see the doc today. She told me exactly what your doc had told you, that it was a cyst and it wasnt anything to be worried about. But she did refer me to the hospital to be checked out in a couple of weeks just to be doubly sure.

Also i was getting a lot of pain in my left testicle, my doc said that if it waqs a tumour that there would be no pain whatsoever.
