Returning to my former glory . . .

Hi Gals. I've been away from serious training and eating clean for way tooo long. During my last pregnancy (son born 5-2-04) I was not allowed to train and was eventually put on bedrest because of preterm labor. After my son was born (early but healthy) we adopted my niece and I went from 2 to 4 kids instantly. Needless to say life went very crazy. Then we found out we had an option to relocate to Florida and I went to work remodeling our house so it could sell. Back then I thought, well cool, I'll be doing alot of physical labor on the house so after that I'll start right back into training. But the move came and went and here I sit chubby, looking like I've never trained and embarrassed to tell people I'm a former personal trainer and t-mag junkie who actually KNOWS what I should be doing.

So here goes, my hubby (who at least had the decency to get fat and out of shape with me :) ) and I started yesterday. We ate clean and and trained hard (and we get to go through that horrendous new-to-training pain that should hit us tomorrow) and are doing the same today and forever. Bare with me as I won't be posting my stats - it's just too freaking bad right now. But in this process of getting this goo off me and find my long lost abs I will update you guys and post lots of embarrassing pictures :) .

I've been tempted to t-3 and clen it, but to be honest I never had much luck with those anyways and I have too far to go to think they will be a realistic help. I've been hearing alot about Sesapure and a couple of other things made by the same people so I might try those. I know there is nothing better than eating clean and that is no issue. When I put my mind to something I do it.

So there is my intro. I've replaced all the crap in my house with healthy food (much to my kids' disapointment) and set up all my gym equipment in our florida room.

Wish me luck and kick my ass if I ever come in here and complain . . . I did this to myself.

Welcome ironbabe! Best of luck to you and your husband. We will be looking forward to seeing your posts and your pics as you progress back to a healthy YOU! ;)

Welcome back to the grind! The good news is that if you've trained in the past, your body remembers! And you'll recognize when you start feeling good again - energy, better outlook on life, and those wonderful sore muscles from the day after your first day back. Tell hubby he better have the decency to get hot & lean w/ you as well because you will need someone to jump on when you are feeling sexay!

We pretty much do everything together, failing and succeeding. He's as determined to do this as I am so it will be pretty cool to watch eachother transform.

I am sure counting on muscle memory, hoping it will shorten the time it takes me to get away from the tiny little weights I'm using now and to the bigger ones that feel so good to lift. And since I haven't done this in quite a while just the shock of training and eating well might make some fat loss happen quickly. At least I'm hoping!

We are taking the "before" pics tonight and someday I will post them next to my "hottie" pics when I'm looking all svelt again. Thnanks for making me feel so welcome!

I'm sure you'll see some good stuff. Make sure your diet is 100% in check. If you are eating sufficient protein & carbs you should see some nice increases in your lifts fast.

Welcome!!! YAY before & afters are so motivating! Please do post 'em. Help inspire all the others out there :) :wavey:

LOL I just noticed the little horns on your avi. Are you a little devil?

There is definitely a devilish little side to me. I'm good natured, but I can't resist stirring the pot a bit or picking at people when they so deserve it. I can dish it, but I can take it too.
