Hi,

This may be a boner question but here goes. I know it is a good idea to take a few days off of lifting once in a while. I am recovering from a shoulder injury right now and would like to rest it some more and besides that my bro is also coming home from aussi (havent seen him in 1.5 yrs) my problem is i am trying to cut right now and i dont really want to lose too much muscle mass so if i took off say 5 days from lifting while continuing my cardio and diet will i lose a lot of muscle/strength?

5 days off from training is a drop in the bucket !

you won't lose a thing...enjoy the time with your brother, the gym will be there.

Exactly. Enjoy yourself, rest that shoulder a while. Good chance you'll come back stronger.

Go back to soon and it will linger. At least your not throwing everything out the window and continue to eat properly and do cardio. Good Luck!

Don't be such a pussy! Get back in the gym and work shoulders twice a week. No pain-no gain! Only kidding. Rest the shoulder but remember there are other parts to train that don't involve the shoulders. I'm fucked up, I train on vacations, train with my injuries taped and even been to the gym in a cast. But im just sick.. I guess I could have worse addictions!

why would your bro return after a trip to australia? im surprised he didnt set up here...this one of the most peaceful/wonderful places on eatrh

i believe they say it takes 18 days off to lose 1 lbs of muscle. not sure, but i know it's somewhere close to that. regardless. 5 days won't effect you at all.
