R-ala and raw eggs?

calveless wonder

now if i understand correctly eating raw eggs inhibits the absorbtion of biotin. Would this factor in the effectiveness of R-Ala? If so,would it matter if the eggs are consumed at a time totally separate from carb/R-ala intake?

an issue if you eat the whites only, yolk is high in biotin.

its not clear what the time window is.

this problem is avidin, a glycoprotein that binds to an inhibits absorption of biotin.

however, given that the amount of biotin in glucorell is substantially higher than even in a yolk (about 20 times as much) (avidin can only bind to so much, nothing in that range, since if you eat yolks no deficiency)

cooking deactivates avidin (as it is a heat sensitive glycoprotein)

i consume about 18-20 egg whites a day..maybe 3-4 yolks mixed in. would it be in an issue? also, would putting it in the microwave deactive the avidin?
thanks macro

? cant say for sure, but probably not.

YES. but how long and at what setting?????

why not just cook them? its a safer bet in all respects and probably tastier.

Avidin is the new pesticide.

Genetic scientists are now breeding avidin-rich corn. The bugs won't be able so survive eating that corn; they too need biotin.

I have a hard time getting down solid protein...whether its my appetite or just digestion, who knows. It'd take me about 25-30 minutes to eat those eggs cooked. My appetite has always sucked when it comes to protein. I can down fats and carbs all day but protein doesnt agree with me.

lets say 45 seconds on a high setting?would that work?
