I have recently been going to a low carb approach in order to lose BF and it has been working (along with cardio, clean diet, etc). I understand the importance of post workout nutrition and the window of opportunity that one has. Everybody talks aout the importance of carbs, protein, etc immediatly after. My question is this, would I be doing any negative to my body by just taking in whey, glut, ala, etc post-workout and skipping the carbs. I know they would just be getting shuttled into the muscle with minimal chance of conversion but from a physiological standpoint what are the negatives if any. At times it's just easier for me to make the whey shake in the parking lot and take it in. To get in the dextose or whatever it's another bottle to make up. I know this sounds lazy but the bottom line is that it just had me wondering if I'm hidrering my gains (increase lean muscle, and decrease BF) by not taking in the carbs. Thanks
